They are open but the place is run by ninjas, every one of them has some kind of mask on!
If you mean gluten , I believe I saw some , will check in Sept!
We are there in Sept (every year) and the hours are dependent on the tourist season , we have found. Call ahead to see Cheers
Was there for the first time in years. Was very acceptable pub food with great service. Place seems very well managed and organized. The deck is the best in St. Andrew's, in my opinion. Not gourmet exactly, but it was a pleasant surprise.
The host was most rude. We entered the restaurant about 5 minutes before a tour bus arrived. There was one table of 8 who had ordered present. Otherwise totally empty, including the bar. The host told us if he sat us we would be last to order. We arrived at 5 pm, by the way. He said we wouldn’t be able to order until after 7 pm. He continued to be rude. I asked him if we could order our two meals first, as the bus hadn’t even unloaded yet. He said NO. Then proceeded with harsh comments. We then left.
Great restaurant with a gorgeous view of the wharf. Food is delicious and servings are large. Save space for dessert!
Great view, great staff and good food. Loved the seafood chowder. I really enjoyed eating here and I definitely recommend the place. It did however seem a bit difficult to access if you're bound to a wheelchair, and the brand of sparkling water wasn't up to par.
The patio offers a great sunset view as per the food.. my lobster was improperly prepared and the potato than came with it was hard.
Being a “local”, I’ve tried all of the spots in St Andrews that come and go with the tide of the bay and of the tourist, Harbour Front is the best. Few spots offer the view from the patio and few offer such a delicious selection of food that is always plentiful and at a good cost. My personal favourite is the chicken stir fry.
Would recommend the dragon rolls!
Excellent value for the price, highly recommended!
Ambiance and views were very good. Food was ok, but we were disappointed with the service. We asked if we could substitute the regular side (rice, fries, potato, etc.) with a salad, and the server said it wasn't a problem. However, when we got the bill, we were charged an additional $6 each. This should definitely have been discloses to us ahead of time, and not as a surprise when the bill came. As a result, we cannot recommend this restaurant.
Good service. Nice patio facing the harbour! Food... Excellent
they don’t value or care for business. Went there with my dog and they said it was full for an hour which is fine as I totally understand I can only take my dog on the patio. I then asked them if I can order something to go and I was going to take a walk and eat on a bench. They said they were too busy to accommodate me. Pretty sad that they will only accommodate those who are sitting down.
Had the opportunity to sit on the patio at the restaurant when attended for a meal in August. Beautiful evening on the waterfront. Restaurant was busy so had to wait ten minutes to be seated. The man taking the names and sitting the peoe was a little rude but that was the only problem during the stay.Waitress was very friendly and accommodating throughout the meal. Food was hot and enjoyable.Would return in the future.
Wonderful view and very friendly staff who go out of their way to make your experience memorable.
Great food and virw
Went with the family and the picture below was of a seafood skewer (can't recall the name). Had a piece of lobster, scallops and shrimp. Wife had the turf and surf. The seafood was delectable and you can taste the freshness of it. The view was spectacular as you can see. Staff was very friendly and fun.
Ate at the restaurant for supper, the food was good but had no idea the place had been taken over by ninjas. They were dressed in black and they all had these masks on. I didnt see any throwing stars but we did manage to escape unharmed.
Honestly, my favorite place to eat when visiting St Andrew's. Quality food at a great price. I don't think you can beat the view.
Good service, good food
Amazing food, fantastic views out on the back terrace and great value. Staff were lovely! We would definitely visit again if back in the area. We both had the surf and turf which was absolutely delicious! The steak melted in the mouth.
Gorgeous patio, and good food, the burgers was a but bland, but the spinach dip was worth it
The food was great and staff were awesome. The restaurant is beautiful and clean.
Great atmosphere, the interior and patio was gorgeous. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable but a bit unwelcoming and awkward . The views are really nice. Food was overcooked and dry. Not what we would have expected from a ocean side establishment. Over all the visit was mediocre.
This place is absolutely amazing! We started out with the spinach dip. It was so creamy and flavourful. For my main, I had the Harbour Front Burger with poutine fries. The brioche buns were perfect for the incredibly juicy patty. And to finish our meal off, the Chocolate Bombe. Its honestly to die for!!! If you ever get the chance to go to St. Andrews, make sure you go to this place!
The receptionist at the RV park suggested this restaurant so we decided to visit. The building had a lot of ambiance and felt very historical. You could imagine burly bearded fishermen getting drinks at the bar 100 years ago. The view of the harbor is also nice. However I found the food to be average at best. I had a seafood platter and I’d be willing to bet that all the shellfish in my meal was from a packaging company. Prebreaded and pre packaged shrimp, scallops, etc. The fish seemed fresh caught and battered. The fries were very good. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience. Just less than I expected.
Great food and service..fried clams are delicious
The service was very fast and food was good.
My all time fave in St.Andrews. The view, service, and food never disappoint. Two thumbs up!
Had a dinner here with colleagues. Definitely would love to come here again.Overall rating is 4.5⭐Food: 4⭐. Baked haddock with rice and vegetables was good enough. It's a plus that the size of the portion would probably be enough for two not very hungry guests.Beer: 5⭐. Keith's amber ale is really great, so taste it first and then order a pitcher or a few ;).Desserts: 4⭐. Tried their strawberry rhubarb pie, but personally liked blueberry pie better.Service: 5⭐.
The food was ok, nothing special. Server was excellent, and you cant beat the patio arrangement there, breathtaking view
Good food, good service. Friendly and nice atmosphere.
One of the best dinners I've ever had. The staff where great with my kids. Strongly recommend the surf and turf.
Food was really good. Service was fast and friendly. Would definetly go back.
Service was great and food was good. Thank you Becca.
Pub on the waterfront with view of the ocean.
Nice view, but we liked the food less than other lower-priced restaurants in St Andrews.
Always a pleasure eating here. Grabbing a quick bite before we go Whale watching. Always great service and food !!!
View is amazing, food and service were great although it was quite busy! I can only recommend it. We will stop there again at our next visit to St. Andrews.
Beautiful view of the water from the patio. Delicious homemade burger and amazing home fries. Fantastic service, the food came out incredibly fast. Next time we go to St. Andrew's, this is where we are eating. You gotta eat here!
We really enjoyed the deserts and the mussels were good so I added a star. The burger was average and the seafood platter was decent but I have had better haddock and scallops (seemed more prepackaged than fresh but to be fair there were no 'fresh' made claims). For an oceanside restaurant in a tourist destination I would have appreciated some freshly made tartar or seafood sauce as opposed to the small prepackaged sauces that were served.
Super view of the St Andrews harbor. Reasonable seafood at decent prices. Friendly staff.
Food was very good and so was the service. Pricing wasn't bad for the area. Dinner was good, I recommend the clam strips! We had lunch there our 2nd day, the lunch special was very good.
Server was very cheery and attentive. View from the patio is amazing. Food quality was not the best.
Was kinda slow, but over all good food
Such quick and friendly service from start to finish. We ordered chicken wings for an appetizer, then I got the fried clams and my husband got the lobster roll. It was very tasty and the portion sizes were good for the price. I prefer the French fries over at the Red Herring but otherwise our meal was great and I'm very happy with our experience at the Harbour Front!
Great food!
Came here for supper today. Great waterfront location, great food, waitress Jenn was also great! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Beautiful scenery
I really would not know if it good because we did not get even get a glass of water. We walked in and there was at least a 30 minute wait due to a tour bus. That's fine we were told we could go to the bar and wait. Got to the bar and sat down but nobody was behind it. We waited about 10 minutes and in that time a bar tender walked behind the bar got a pitcher of ice water looked at my sister and totally ignored her. Then some older man walked behind grabbed a couple of things talked to another couple made eye contact with my sister 3 times and still for another 3 to 4 minutes we were ignored. We finally left just as he decides to ask us if we needed anything. Walked across the street to the Kennedy Inn and was taken care of immediately!
Wish I could give it less than one star !!! Went today . Waited 10 mins before we were seated. There was only one party ahead of us. They were not busy. There was only one party seated inside restaurant and tables outside were not full .We were seated outside which was ok. The plastic seats were HOT !!!! We waited and we waited.... people that had come in after us were served before us. Not impressed. We waited 20 mins and still no waiter. We just left. Would never ever recommend and won't return. Terrible . How do they even stay in business?
Very quaint restaurant with an absolutely amazing patio view. Food was okay. Not fine dining but decent. Cold beer, hot food, great views. Not much more one can ask for. Prices are also fair. A must visit if in the area.
